Who are we?
Do you know anything about the single mothers and their children who were cared for by the Misericordia Sisters ? The purpose of our museum is precisely that: to inform the public about this relatively unknown and controversial story, even today.
Since 1998, the museum has been open to the public, but upon prior reservation for the visits in English. Each visit is personalized and adapted to our visitors’ interests. It is not necessary to be a believer to come and visit our museum.

Rosalie Jetté Cadron confronts the prejudices of his time to provide assistance to "unwed mother" through a maternity hospital , which became later the "Hôpital de la Miséricorde" of Montreal. This dedication is born a work underestimated and unique Canadian religious congregation founded for this purpose.
